An official release date has surfaced for The Starship Damrey, a suspense/survival horror title for the 3DS. The game will be out on May 16 in North America, while European gamers will have a head start when the game releases this week on May 9 (Edit: It looks like The Starship Damrey’s flight in Europe has been delayed to May 16 as well).
Starship Damrey is a game in which the player finds themself waking up in a mysterious spaceship with no recollection of how or why they got there. The game offers no help or tutorials from there on, forcing the player to discover things on their own.
Starship Damrey was originally released in Japan as part of a compilation known as Guild02. The games are being released separately domestically, as a common complaint from reviewers was that none of the games in the compilations appeared to have very strong ties to one another. Each title was even created by a different developer. In the case of Starship Damrey it is the brainchild of Kazuya Asano, developer of the very successful Super Famicom title The Night of the Sickle Weasel.
