Game & Wario may have slipped out of its launch window release date, but here’s some good news to make up for the delay; Nintendo has confirmed that the title will retail for $39.99 when it goes on sale June 23.
Like previous WarioWare games, Game & Wario is a mini-game compilation designed to show off the Wii U’s unique features. The game will include 16 different mini-games, each of which will make use of the GamePad in a clever way; in Gamer, for instance, players will play traditional WarioWare-style microgames on the GamePad, while keeping an eye on their televisions in case 9-Volt’s mother walks into the room and catches him playing video games past his bedtime.

I’ve enjoyed my other experiences with WarioWare games so I’m looking forward to this. I keep hearing it’s not exactly like previous titles, so that concerns me a little. If the focus of the game is more party style than 1 player, I may be in for disappointment. I was very happy to see Lego City fall below the 59.99 retail so this is a nice surprise too.
Yeah, it definitely feels more party-like than previous WarioWare games; the mini-games are a lot longer in duration, and a lot of them support up to five players at once. I was actually thinking about skipping this game, but that price might just convince me to pick it up!
