Pikmin 4 is set to launch on Nintendo Switch very soon—July 21, to be exact. Many fans are pumped for the next installment in the beloved series, but as Nintendo is wont to do, few details about the game have been revealed thus far. Today, that changed a wee bit when a new trailer for the game dropped showing off how players will be designing their own custom avatar this time around. Take a look:
As it so happens, in Pikmin 4 not only has Captain Olimar crashed and needs rescuing, but the (not intentional at all, I’m sure) Rescue Corps that was sent to save him has also crashed and need saving! It’s interesting that Nintendo continues to move away from Captain Olimar as the star of these games, but Pikmin 3 was no less fun with Alph and company as the stars of the game, and who knows if the diminutive hero might become playable in some fashion later in the adventure (or maybe even via DLC).
