Despite only being available in prototype form at this year’s E3, it appears the next Star Fox game is further along in development than we might have initially presumed, as Nintendo designer Shigeru Miyamoto revealed that it would be arriving on Wii U in 2015.
While Miyamoto didn’t divulge any further details on the game, he did say that it was progressing smoothly and would be available for the console before the next Legend of Zelda title. Given this time frame, it seems safe to assume that Zelda will be positioned as Nintendo’s big holiday release next year, though that of course has yet to be confirmed.
Our own Robert Marrujo got to go hands-on with the Star Fox prototype at this year’s E3, so be sure to check out his preliminary impressions of the title!

Man, Nintendo really is taking the fight to their competition. Love seeing them perform so well on such a large stage. 2015 is gonna be a good year.
