The Wii U Virtual Console has been treated to a number of Game Boy Advance classics over the last several months. If a recent Australian rating is to be believed, Medabots AX will join the pack in the very near future. In the rating, Nintendo was cited as the game’s publisher, similar to other Virtual Console offerings. Given that Natsume, the game’s original publisher, recently asked fans which GBA games they would like to see arrive on the service, it seems very likely that the title will be available on Wii U in the near future.
Medabots AX consists of two different versions, Metabee Version and Rokusho Version. Like Pokémon, players had to trade between the two versions in order to obtain all of the game’s Medabots. We have yet to see this feature replicated in a Virtual Console title at this point, so it will be interesting to see if the ability to trade between versions is somehow retained.
