Although the latest Pokémon film, Pokémon the Movie: Everyone’s Story, only just premiered in Japan on July 13, fans are already looking ahead to 2019’s movie, thanks to an exciting announcement.
At the end of Everyone’s Story, the title for the next film, accompanied by a short CGI trailer, was shown: Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution. Though no other details have been released, we can expect to hear an official announcement and get a first look sometime soon.
This is exciting news for fans who loved Pokémon: The First Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back and have been waiting almost 20 years for Mewtwo to make his return to the big screen (because Pokémon: Mewtwo Returns doesn’t quite count, since it was a direct-to-video release and wasn’t particularly well received). The wait won’t be long now!
