With a dark cry of “fool!” at his enemies and sword in hand, Meta Knight has finally been officially announced for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS! The diminutive swordsman had been hinted at in a recent Miiverse post where Sakurai revealed that Mii characters could be costumed with gear to look like other fighters in the game. One of the masks being worn was Meta Knight, leading many fans to assume the character would be announced in short order. As it turns out, that’s exactly what happened!
This writer knows that after reading this, many people’s minds probably drifted to memories of how Meta Knight was infamously banned from Super Smash Bros. Brawl tournament play, but I have faith he’s been better balanced this time around. Even if he hasn’t, one of Nintendo’s classic characters is always welcome to the fray!
