The next evolution of Nintendo and The Pokémon Company International’s crossover with LEGO is upon us. These new Pokémon sets feature the new LEGO SMART Play technology. This tech centers around the LEGO SMART Brick, a 2×4 block boasting motion sensors, color sensors, and a real-time sound synthesizer. The system lets physical, real world builds react with dynamic lights and audio when paired with LEGO SMART Tags and SMART Minifigures. Now, this technology has been joined with a range of LEGO Pokémon sets, allowing for a new level of immersion with toys that Pocket Monster fans have never seen before.
There are 20 Pokémon to get ahold of across twelve different sets. First up are the all-in-one sets. These come with SMART Bricks, Tags, and a charger to get you right to playing:
- LEGO Pokémon SMART Play: Training House with Pikachu
- LEGO Pokémon SMART Play: Charizard vs. Jolteon Ultimate Battle
Then, there are the compatible sets which come with SMART Tags:

- o LEGO Pokémon SMART Play: Charmander and Geodude’s Cavern Clash
