It’s hard to keep a good pair of stoners down. While it’s been quite some time since Jay and Silent Bob have seen the spotlight, the duo are about to see a bit of a renaissance, thanks to a new movie and a new video game!
Jay and Silent Bob: Mall Brawl is an NES-style brawler that will actually see release on NES, thanks to the fine folks at Limited Run Games. According to developer Spoony Bard Productions, the title will play similar to classic NES titles like River City Ransom and Double Dragon II. While the co-op title will also see release on Switch, it’s unknown at this time if that version will also receive a physical release. We have reached out to Limited Run Games, but have not received word at this time.
Preorders for the NES version of Jay and Silent Bob: Mall Brawl will begin September 6. The game will be offered in a standard edition and a collector’s edition. The latter will include a soundtrack, instruction manual, poster and art cards. The two options will retail for $54.99 and $84.99, respectively. Stay tuned to Nintendojo for more information on the Switch release as it develops!
