It’s not always easy to be a fan of Sonic the Hedgehog. Since the days of Genesis, it seems that, for every high point, there is often an equally low point. Time will tell which category Paramount’s upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog movie will fall into but, in the meantime, fans can get a look at the film’s first trailer!
Starring Ben Schwartz as Sonic and Jim Carrey as Dr. Ivo Robotnik, the film will see Sonic brought into “our” world. While Sonic’s appearance is a bit jarring compared to his traditional design, the trailer gives us our first glimpse at some of Robotnik’s machines in action, and they definitely evoke the games. Also notable is the use of the classic “ring sound.” Hopefully the finished film will incorporate more familiar elements for fans!
