Earlier this year, WayForward announced Shantae 5, but the developer gave no additional details. Today, the game received a new title and plenty of information for fans of the half-genie hero!
Now known as Shantae and the Seven Sirens, the new game will see the titular hero exploring an all-new, interconnected, nonlinear, tropical world. Shantae will boast plenty of new abilities, including new Fusion Magic forms (such as a newt) and new dance abilities. The game will also implement a new Monster Card collecting mechanic, in which players can alter Shantae’s abilities to best fit their specific play style. Finally, longtime fans can also expect to see supporting characters such as Rottytops, Risky Boots and more!
Shantae and the Seven Sirens has no set release date at this time. Stay tuned to Nintendojo for more as it develops!
