A lot of games do their best to homage classic titles that came before them, but they don’t always get it quite right. In the case of Canari Games’ Castaway, the game takes a lot of inspiration from Nintendo’s Game Boy calssic The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening. With beautiful pixel art graphics and a blonde, sword-wielding hero, Castaway looks like its progenitor while also establishing itself as its own game:
