While we’re still awaiting confirmation of which original Super Smash Bros. characters will make their return in the upcoming Wii U and 3DS titles, we can officially cross one more character off the list: Captain Olimar, the protagonist of the Pikmin series! Olimar has been confirmed for both versions (though it appears that both titles may share rosters), and he’s been shown with red, blue, yellow, white and purple Pikmin compatriots. Whether or not he’ll be accompanied by the rock or winged Pikmin from Pikmin 3 remains to be seen.
Captain Olimar is officially the 13th character to join the roster of the new titles. Who else do you want to see? Let us know in the comments below!

Aye. The stages are to be based on console specifics, but rosters are the same.
I’m hoping the three new captains are alternative costumes.
