And here it is, our one-hundredth issue of Nintendojo.
While the issue structure may only stretch back two years into the fifteen year history of this marvellous little website, we’re all very proud of everything we’ve achieved over the last ninety-nine issues. There’s been laughs, there’s been tears, there’s been far more editorials on Star Fox Adventures than I really expected there would be but we’ve finally arrived at our centennial issue! Staffers have come and gone and the way we bring you content has changed, evolved, reverted, rebooted and then went off for a nap because it’s gotten pretty tired but Nintendojo’s dedication to providing uniquely passionate Nintendo coverage to you, dear reader, has never faltered. Not even that time when Andrew kept going on about Imagine! Party Babiez for Wii.
To celebrate this special issue, we decided to come up with a project so mammoth that it left precisely no time to write this editor’s letter. Our goal: to chart the Top 100 games from Nintendo history across one issue; a comprehensive list that spanned the history of everyone’s favourite video game company. Throughout this week, we’ll be posting our favourite games from each Nintendo era; all the way from Mario Bros. to Skyward Sword. We’ll also be sharing our favourite memories of each and encouraging you to do the same. They’ll also be a round table to finish things off where we’ll mention all the games that we neglected to include. (I won’t lie, there’s some shocking omissions. We never shy away from controversy here at the Dojo.)
We hope you’ll enjoy our Top 100 games as much as we’ve enjoyed compiling this monster list!
Enjoy,
Adam
PS – I’d just like to say a special thank you to everyone who’s contributed to the site in the last year (and to all our readers!) as this editor’s letter marks Andrew and my one year anniversary as editors-in-chief. Look Hsieh, we didn’t break the site! It’s still here! (Hsieh-Note: Congratulations to us.)
