And I have to say again how much I hated what Capcom did to Wesker in 5. He had some amazing one liners………but I wish so many things they did to him would be undone.
Great clarification on your position about console style games on handhelds, James. It was a lot less obfuscated this time and I agree that there are people who tend to ignore games just because they are on handhelds.
As for the Resident Evil games? I’ve had a somewhat passive relationship with them. I’ve bought all of the handheld ones except for Gaiden.. which I can’t seem to track down. I’ve got 1, 2, 3, 4, Zero (Which I felt controlled better on the N64) and I honestly can’t wait to buy Revelations. I never touched 5. I loved Degeneration and will check out Damnation. My dad and I loved the Light Gun Wii games. Those were a lot of fun. I like Mercenaries, but I haven’t tried the Co-Op for it yet. Revelations looks and plays wonderfully and I kinda want to see what the cradle will do for it.
Personally, I would love it if that cradle was the first of several controller options in the future. I want one that puts a proper arcade style joystick on one side of the system and then adds buttons to the other side, so fighting games could be played properly. It would have to be nice and heavy because it would be kind of like the iCade for the iPad.
Oh! Also, Steve Jobs just died. Considering that the last “update” to the iPhone line was a subtle remix instead of an iPhone 5, I think we can -unless someone else steps up- count Apple out of the running. I think that -without his direction- the Apple brand is over. Steve didn’t have a real successor and the company was failing before when Steve left. Now that he can’t come back, I think people should sell their Apple stock. It’s over for them.
