5. Secret of Mana (SNES, 1993)

Secret of Mana

This list would hold zero validity if I excluded Square’s infamous Secret of Mana cover. Known for its impressive sense of scale, tranquility, and wistful wonderment, the cover to this RPG, which would essentially define an entire generation of role playing games, is indicative of the Super Nintendo itself: larger than life, full of character and downright awe-inspiring.
