Pokémon’s Legendary “Beasts”
This argument is stupid and it makes me stupid for even reading about it. This has to do with the 2nd generation Pokémon games– Gold and Silver. The legendaries of this game that are the subject of this argument are Raikou, Entei, and Suicune. I can’t say exactly what species they are because well…that’s what the argument is about. There are people out there who actually argue about their species. Some people say that they’re dogs, others argue about them being of the feline persuasion, and then the sane folks argue that it doesn’t matter because it’s only a game. So why does this argument exist? Well quite simply it’s because of their look. Entei’s design has more of a lionesque look to it. Lions come from the feline category of things. Meanwhile, Raikou has a sabertooth tiger design, which is also of the feline family. But Suicune is kind of the odd one out. That Pokemon looks more like a a dog than the other two. So this is pretty much where the argument starts. It’s arguments like this that make people look at fandom and wonder what the hell is wrong with people.
