Next week, Disney Classic Games: Aladdin and The Lion King will release on Nintendo Switch. The compilation from Nighthawk Interactive brings together multiple versions of Aladdin and The Lion King from the 16-bit era. It would only make sense then that the special editions of the compilation would also pay homage to the past.

The folks at iam8bit have announced a handful of unique options for the upcoming title. While the standard release will retail for $29.99, $49.99 will get fans a case that resembles either the classic SNES box, or a case that resembles the Sega Genesis clamshell case. Both the Retro Edition Box and Retro Edition Clamshell options will also include an exclusive poster and retro style instruction manual.

Disney diehards may also be interested in iam8bit’s Legacy Cartridge offerings. For $99.99, fans can purchase Aladdin on Sega Genesis or The Lion King on Super Nintendo, on gorgeous, brand-new cartridges. Limited to just 4500 copies each, Aladdin is offered in translucent Ruby Red, while The Lion King gets Mufasa Marigold. Those who order the Legacy Cartridges also have a one-in-eight chance of receiving an Ultra Limited Glow-in-the-Dark version of the cartridge: Magic Carpet Purple or Serengeti Sunrise, respectively. Both Legacy Cartridge options will include full-color manuals and “retro pack-in surprises.”

All four options will be made available October 24 directly on iam8Bit’s website as well as from Best Buy starting at 1 PM EST, 10 AM PDT. The Limited Editions will be available December 10, while the Legacy Cartridges have a more ambiguous 2020 release window. The standard edition of the compilation, however, will be available October 29. Stay tuned to Nintendojo for a review of Disney Classic Games: Aladdin and The Lion King, coming soon!
