Fans who missed out on Xenblade Chronicles for Wii will get a second chance to experience the sprawling techno fantasy adventure, as Nintendo has announced that the game’s upcoming New 3DS release, Xenoblade Chronicles 3D, will be arriving in North America on April 10.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3D is a faithful port of the original title, though it will feature a handful of new features. This time, players will be able to collect tokens in the game, which can be used to unlock music and character models. The title will also be compatible with the upcoming Shulk Amiibo; tapping the figure on the New 3DS’s touchscreen will also net token. Finally, the game features StreetPass support.

Xenoblade was and is one of my favorite Wii games. I think it is a perfect fit for 3D with its enormous, beautiful world, and for portable gaming in general due to the seemingly endless amount of stuff there is to do/find/collect/craft/battle/develop.
I was also lucky enough to secure a Shulk amiibo preorder (plus he’s become my main in Smash :^) so bonus there.
If only I could play it on a Majora’s Mask edition N3DS, which I wasn’t lucky enough to preorder during the twelve seconds it was available.
