Heads up, Amiibo hunters! Remember that Gold Mario Amiibo announced a little while back? With it being exclusive to Walmart, online pre-orders were snapped up in only a matter of minutes. If you were one of the unfortunate not to do so…the hunt for a Gold Mario will be rough for you.
As indicated by the note above, Walmart is already taking measures to prepare for low-stock. Like other Amiibo figures being subject to one-per-customer, Gold Mario will be applied to the same rule. Readers familiar with other low-stock Amiibo (such as Marth, Villager, and Wii Fit Trainer) can imagine how ugly the rush to grab this Amiibo could get.
