For the uninitiated, Uniqlo kind of rocks if you’re a fan of nerdy graphic tees. The Japanese brand specializes in what fashionistas like Nintendojo contributor Angela Marrujo calls “staples,” or pieces of clothing that simply must be in a person’s wardrobe. Think the iconic “little black dress,” or even something like a raincoat and you’re on the right track. Uniqlo also has specialized over the last few years in collaborating with all sorts of different brands to produce some delightful t-shirts based on everything from Street Fighter to One Piece.
While the just announced Super Mario UT line isn’t the first time Uniqlo has partnered with Nintendo, this new range is special because it’s in honor of the plumber’s 35th anniversary! Here are some details straight from Uniqlo:
Since its creation in 1985, Super Mario has been loved by people all around the world and beyond the boundaries of the game. Our UT collection celebrates Super Mario Bros’ 35th anniversary and features graphic prints of everyone’s favourite hero.
The line will feature eight adult t-shirts alongside four shorts and t-shirt designs for children. Take a peek at the shirts above and sound off below and online if you’ll be adding any of this swag to your own closet!
