While Stardew Valley is available on Nintendo Switch, it’s only on the eShop in the west. Japan, however, has the luxury of a region-exclusive physical version of the game. But will the west ever see a physical version, too? According to the game’s creator, Eric Barone, there’s a “good chance” it’ll happen.
In an exchange on Twitter, Eric (@ConcernedApe) replied to a user who asked him if there’s “any chance of a physical release” of Stardew Valley on Switch in the west:
Yes there is a good chance…

No other details were provided, but this is good news for those of you that have been waiting for news on whether this would happen. But if you’re the impatient type, the Japanese physical version includes English language support, if you can get your hands on it. We’ll be sure to report on any updates to this news if and when they happen.
