In just a few short months, Pokémon: Detective Pikachu will release in theaters around the world. While that should be more than enough to excite Pokémon fans, the release will, naturally, be accompanied by an onslaught of new products.
Earlier this month, it was announced that an expansion for the TCG would be released, and now we have official confirmation that the expansion will release in North America. 26 new cards will be released, with artwork inspired by the characters’ looks in the movie. Detective Pikachu, Charizard and Greninja will all appear, and the cards can be used in competitive play.

Toys will naturally be part of the movie’s promotion as well. Wicked Cool Toys will release a talking Pikachu plush with modes based on a normal Pikachu’s speech as well as Ryan Reynolds’ voice (though we do not have confirmation that it will actually boast the actor’s voice). There will also be a new action figure line, as well. The line will feature both two-inch and three-inch replicas of Pokémon from the film.

Mattel’s Mega Construx line has been giving Pokémon fans an opportunity to build their favorite pocket monsters for some time now, and that will continue with the new film. The line will boast Detective Pikachu as well as Mr. Mime.

Finally, older fans will likely want to check out some of the offerings from The Pokémon Center. Detective Pikachu spends quite a bit of time drinking coffee in the original game, and that seems to be the case in the upcoming film! The online store will feature a number of products based around the Hi-Hat Café. In the film, the Pokémon Noctowl is part of the café’s “Fresh Coffee” logo, and The Pokémon Center will offer a ton of merchandise boasting the logo, including shirts, hoodies, coffee cups and more.

The products listed above will release between late March and early April. Are you getting excited for the release of Pokémon: Detective Pikachu? Let us know what you plan on buying in the comments below!
