In a very pleasing surprise announcement, it was revealed by developer Choice Provisions that the original BIT.TRIP games will be coming to the Nintendo Switch eShop on Christmas Day. Here’s the announcement:

The original versions of these games were released on WiiWare in 2009, under Choice Provisions’ original name Gaijin Games. These new versions of the BIT.TRIP games have been developed by Choice Provisions and are being published by QubicGames. They sell for $4.99 apiece, but purchasing one will bring the price down for each remaining title by 60 percent.
Most gamers will likely more readily recognize the Runner due to the sequels; it’s worth noting that all of the games star the beloved Commander Video. Boasting retro visuals with modern design sensibilities, the BIT.TRIP series is definitely worth a look for modern and retro gamers, alike.
