The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom will be coming to Nintendo Switch on September 26, 2024. While we know that the adventure casts Zelda as the star, for a change, we’re continuing to get new details as the weeks and months pass by. Now, Nintendo has another trailer for fans to soak in that’s stuffed with interesting reveals—take a look:
Some key takeaways from the footage:
- The Still World: Within the numerous rifts tearing apart Hyrule, Zelda can traverse something called the Still World. Inside, the landscape can take on all sorts of different terrains, making exploration a challenge unto itself. Zelda will use Echoes to solve environmental puzzles throughout this area.
- Sword Fighter Form: Zelda has indeed swing a blade in this game, but it’s for limited intervals of time. This forces the player to strategize with she should have an Echo do her fighting or take care of things herself.
- Dampé the Craftsman: In this version of Hyrule, Dampé isn’t a gravedigger, but instead a craftsman that makes windup gizmos called Automatons Zelda can use in the overworld.
- Dark Link: We only see him for a moment at the very end of the trailer, but Dark Link (or maybe just a possessed Link) seems to make an appearance and tries to take on Zelda. What will this mean for the heroine? We’ll just have to wait and see, it seems.
