In case anyone has forgotten, yes, Hogwarts Legacy is still set to come to Nintendo Switch. The game, which launched on other platforms way back in February of this year, will finally release on Switch come November 14. Warner Bros. is selling this one both digitally and physically, but whether you’re downloading Hogwarts Legacy or sticking the cartridge into your console, you’re in for a hefty 8 GB day-one update.
Portkey Games dropped this revelation on its support page. The update is rather eyebrow raising given the game itself is apparently about 7 GB. Hogwarts Legacy on Switch was apparently delayed in order to get the game running better, so odds are this large patch has something to do with that. Still, downloading an update that’s bigger than the game itself is… interesting, indeed. What do you think about this requirement? Will you be purchasing Hogwarts Legacy for Switch?
