Nearly 20 years after the game’s debut, the soundtrack for Sonic Adventure 2 remains undeniably memorable. From rock anthems such as “Live and Learn” and “City Escape” to rap-influenced tracks like “A Ghost’s Pumpkin Soup,” the game offered a group of songs that can only be described as “eclectic.” In honor of Halloween, Sega has released a remix of “A Ghost’s Pumpkin Soup,” which we’ve embedded below!

Composed by Tomoya Ohtani, the original version of that song appeared in the Pumpkin Hill stage, in which players took on the role of Knuckles the Echidna. This is not the first time Sega paid homage to the track for Halloween. Last year, the company released a 10-hour loop of the song.

Though Pumpkin Hill is closely associated with Knuckles, Sega also released brand-new art of the area, featuring Cream the Rabbit and her Chao friend Cheese. Cream and Cheese did not appear in Sonic Adventure 2, however. The pair made their debut in Sonic Advance 2, which released on Game Boy Advance just over a year later.
