Sabotage Studio, the developer behind the very fun game The Messenger, returned with the delightful retro-inspired RPG Sea of Stars last year. The game has been a massive hit ever since it launched, but up until now it has only been offered digitally. That’s about to change this spring when Sea of Stars gets a physical release on Nintendo Switch.

The physical edition of Sea of Stars will come to retail for $39.99 on May 10, 2024. These copies of the game will come with a double-sided poster and a digital download code for the soundtrack. If you are willing to hold out for a bit and pay $44.99, instead, iam8bit is offering pre-orders for what it’s calling an Exclusive Edition of Sea of Stars. Here’s what it comes with:

  • Retro-Style Game Manual
  • Collectible Slipcase
  • Double-Sided Poster
  • Digital Download of Game Soundtrack
  • 16 Character Sprite Stickers

This iteration of the physical edition will be available sometime in Q4 of this year. Will you be picking either of these up? Let us know in the comments and on social media!
