It has been known for a while now that a character from Nintendo fighting game ARMS would be the next DLC brawler added to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Nintendo had also let fans know that information would be forthcoming in June, but with the month rapidly winding down to a close, fans were wondering when exactly the details would be revealed. Well, that day… is today!

At 7 AM PST Nintendo’s own Masahiro Sakurai, the grand wizard of the Smash Bros. series, will be hosting a 35-minute long livestream detailing the new fighter. Nintendo followed this Tweet up with another that alleges there will not be a new fighter announced today during the stream. It could just be a tease, but the COVID-19 pandemic has strained game development across the globe, including the production of DLC for Smash Ultimate. It’s likely that Nintendo truly isn’t quite ready to reveal the next DLC fighter, but if the company does we’ll let you know, along with who the ARMS representative is!
