Wii U European release date and pricing confirmed?

A retailer in France, FNAC, has supposedly confirmed the European release date of the Wii U, along with pricing details of the system and its games. Signs have been plastered over Paris stating that the machine hits stores on December 9, at a price of €349, which equates to £275 or $440.

Pre-orders are available already both in store and online, which shows the price of Wii U titles at €69.90 or £55/$88. This is steep compared with previous launch prices, but is most likely due to the inclusion of the tablet game pad. This date and price is by no means official, and stores often hazard a guess at these things, but it still is worth noting that a chain as large as FNAC will already have been told the actual release date and prices by Nintendo themselves, so this seems pretty reliable.
