Ace Attorney 5 in Development for 3DS
Ace Attorney fans, rejoice! This week’s issue of Famitsu magazine has revealed that a new entry in Capcom’s popular series will be making its way to 3DS systems (on both hemispheres, no less).
The tentatively-dubbed Ace Attorney 5 will see star lawyer Phoenix Wright once again step back into the spotlight. This time he’ll be joined by a mysterious girl dressed in yellow clothing, who is said to be a central figure in the game’s plot.
Attendees of the upcoming Tokyo Game Show will also be able to get their hands on a fifteen minute demo of the title, which seems to suggest that it’s further along in development than we may realize. In any event, it won’t be long before we get more details and footage of the game in action. For now, though, we’ll just have to content ourselves with looking at screenshots from its official (Japanese) website.

Tekken Producer Discusses Tag Tournament 2, Collaborating with Nintendo
Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada recently sat down for an interview with Siliconera. Among the many topics discussed was the extent of Nintendo’s involvement in Tekken Tag Tournament 2, which was particularly evident when a Mega Mushroom made an appearance in the game’s E3 trailer. Harada had the following to say regarding Nintendo’s collaboration:
“Well, it is kind difficult to mention much because we are focusing on the Xbox 360 and the PS3 versions as the PR focus. But we can say this– because we are collaborating with Nintendo we really wanted to create features like [the Mega Mushroom] that are only possible because we are collaborating with Nintendo. That’s just one example and we hope that everyone will be looking forward to the other things we have to show.”
This seems to suggest that there will be plenty of exclusive goodies to find in the Wii U version of Tekken Tag Tournament 2 (and as we all know, Nintendo fans love console-exclusive material). This can only bode well for Nintendo’s working relationship with Namco Bandai, with whom it is developing the next installments of the Super Smash Bros. series.

Special Kirby Medal Added to Club Nintendo
It seems Nintendo is going all-out for Kirby’s 20th anniversary, as the company has just added a special Kirby-themed reward to its Club Nintendo catalog.
For 600 coins, fans can take home a swanky Kirby medal to celebrate the puffball’s 20 years of insatiable hunger selfless heroism. The medallion measures 1 x 1 inches and comes in the special packaging seen above. If this sounds like a great way to spend your hard-earned coins, then you’d better order it soon; only 1000 of the medals are being made, and once they’re gone it’s unlikely that Club Nintendo will be getting more.
