During today’s Nintendo Direct broadcast, Nintendo also confirmed that Pokémon Rumble U, the upcoming Wii U installment of the popular spin-off series, will be making its way to North America– via the Nintendo eShop– later this month.
Like previous Pokémon Rumble games, Pokémon Rumble U is an action-oriented title that has players battling their way through waves of toy Pokémon. The game features 70 stages and supports up to four players locally for co-op play.
Pokémon Rumble U also supports special figurines, which will be sold exclusively through GameStop stores in the United States. There are 18 figures in total for players to collect, each of which can be imported into the game using the GamePad’s NFC sensor (and, most importantly, are not required to enjoy the title to its fullest).
Pokémon Rumble U goes on sale in the Wii U eShop on August 29.
