Beginning August 13, Nintendo will be distributing two powerful Bug-type Pokémon for Pokémon X and Y. Players who own a copy of Pokémon X will be able to receive Heracross, while those with Y will be able to download Pinsir. Both monsters will be at level 50 and will come with the following moves and natures:
Heracross
Ability: Swarm or Guts
Nature: Adamant
Attacks:
- Bullet Seed
- Pin Missile
- Close Combat
- Megahorn
Pinsir
Ability: Hyper Cutter or Mold Breaker
Nature: Adamant
Attacks:
- X-Scissor
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Return
To download the monsters, select the Mystery Gift option from the games’ main menu and choose to receive your gift via the Internet. Once you’ve downloaded your gift, head to the nearest Pokémon Center and speak to the delivery girl to receive your Pokémon.
In a related promotion, GameStop will also be distributing special Mega Stones from August 18 – 31. Visit any participating store and look for a promotional flyer, which will contain a serial code that can be entered in your game to receive either a Heraconite (in Pokémon X) or a Pinsirite (in Pokémon Y). Equipping your newly received Bug Pokémon with its corresponding stone will allow it to Mega Evolve, making it even more devastating in battle!
