Pac-Man is 45, and across more than four decades of video games, Bandai Namco’s beloved mascot has featured in a lot more than just his signature maze-based arcade adventures. Among the better liked of his games are the Pac-Man World titles. Pac-Man World Re-Pac hit Nintendo Switch back in 2022, and now it’s been revealed that Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac is the next remaster on the docket. PAC-MAN WORLD 2 returns in this modernized, enhanced, and upgraded 3D platforming adventure! Ghosts have snuck into PAC-Village and stolen the Golden Fruit, unwittingly freeing the powerful ghost king, Spooky! PAC-MAN must venture across PAC-LAND to reclaim the Golden Fruit and put a stop to the haunted mayhem.
These platformers come from the PlayStation/Nintendo 64 era of the genre, but they’re genuinely fun and engaging. Re-Pac was a delightful reworking of the original, so hopefully Bandai Namco can keep the quality up in this sequel. It will hit both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on September 26, 2025.
