Exciting news has now come from Lost in Cult as there is now an official Outer Wilds: Design Works that takes a deep dive into the titular game. The book will serve as a deep dive into every step of the game’s development; featuring 250 pages taking a look at the Outer Wilds’ developers, players, and the gaming community. This will include interviews with the creators, essays from Chris Schilling, and exclusive illustrations.

There will be two separate versions of this release. The standard edition will include the details as mentioned above, with a deep analysis of the inspiration, development, and artworks that culminated in the final release. In addition, it will look into the events that transpired post-release, all in one book. The deluxe edition will include the same as the standard release, but more! Six posters, a slip-on hardcover for the book, a planetary chart, four postcards, a sticker sheet, and ten replicas of the Projection Stones. The main event of this exclusive release will be a papercraft ship model, designed as a replica of the ship within the game. This book version will only be available for pre-order until November 2, so get your hands on it while you still can!
