The hype train for Super Smash Bros. on Wii U is now officially in full swing after last week’s Nintendo Direct presentation. And while the promise of Mewtwo and eight player matches definitely whetted our appetites, we now have another small piece to build anticipation: the game’s opening cinematic! Without further ado, here’s the trailer, embedded below!
Our readers that have been keeping a close eye on Sakurai’s updates might find parts of the trailer a bit familiar. It mainly consists of footage we’ve seen from the various character reveals from the last few months. Regardless, it sets a very nice tone for the game, and it’s a step up from the 3DS version, which didn’t feature an opener at all!
