Nintendo San Francisco just opened up late last week but it doesn’t seem that the House of Mario is yet done building retail locations. In Japan, at least. While Nintendo SF is only the second Nintendo store in the United States (New York is the other), Nintendo Fukuoka will be the fourth such location to launch in Japan. The company made the announcement via its official Japanese X account:
[おしらせ] 任天堂直営オフィシャルストア「Nintendo FUKUOKA」を2025年末にJR博多シティ内「アミュプラザ博多」にてオープンいたします。 https://t.co/gBlnHDqWp0 pic.twitter.com/GP5EgPlAsq
— Nintendo TOKYO/OSAKA/KYOTO (@N_Officialstore) May 19, 2025
And here’s the Google translation of the post:
[Announcement] Nintendo’s official store, “Nintendo FUKUOKA,” will open at “AMU PLAZA HAKATA” inside JR Hakata City at the end of 2025.
For those keeping track at home, Fukuoka joins Nintendo Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka (the currently newest store in the country). These stores are a real treat for fans, as they offer a range of merchandise that can’t be purchased anywhere else, and offer unique experiences like console customization and more.
Alas, there is no firm release date beyond the nebulous “late 2025,” but we’ll keep you apprised if we learn more.
