The latest Nintendo Direct brought an exciting announcement for fighting game fans: Street Fighter 6 is officially coming to Nintendo Switch 2 as a launch title on June 5, 2025. Capcom is packing this version with exclusive features designed to take advantage of the new console’s hardware in both Standard and Fighters Editions. Fighters Edition includes all DLC fighters and stages from Year 1 and 2 of the game, while the Standard Edition comes with the base 16 characters and arenas from the original Street Fighter 6.
With fresh game modes, unique Joy-Con 2 functionality, and amiibo support, this version of Street Fighter 6 promises to be a knockout.
To add more to the excitement, brand new amiibo figures and a total of 22 amiibo cards will be tagging along with the game’s arrival. This gives both collectors and fans more ways to connect with their favorite fighters. The amiibo allow players to save outfits, control settings, and display the CFN profile of the associated Fighter Settings saved to a given figure. You’ll also get device Wallpapers and Camera Frames inspired by each character.
