UKIE’s latest UK Video Games Charts still have Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon and LEGO City Undercover: The Chase Begins in the top 10 all-format results. Dark Moon has dropped from rank nine to rank ten since last week, while LEGO City remains rank eight for the third consecutive week. Both games are selling at a constant pace. Fire Emblem Awakening, however, has plummeted from rank twenty-four to rank thirty-five. Intelligent Systems’ niche strategy game seems to be on its way out.
Even so, I am extremely grateful for all these games. Fire Emblem Awakening is quite simply the best Fire Emblem while Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon is quite simply the best 3DS title. Together with other titles like Super Mario 3D Land and Kid Icarus: Uprising, these games are contributing ever so steadily to the 3DS library, and I will take quality over quantity any day.
