Capcom has announced that the next Phoenix Wright title will be released for 3DS in the West this fall. In addition, the game, titled Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies, will be a digital-only release. Dual Destinies picks up eight years after the events of the last installment in the series.
Capcom decided to release the game digital-only because the company wants “as many people as possible to enjoy the game for as long as possible.” Capcom claims that attracting long term retail support for Ace Attorney titles remains challenging, and that a digital only release allows fans to “enjoy the game at their own leisure.”
I love the Nintendo eShop and all, but I do wish cartridges and physical copies remain on the market!
