Siliconera seems confident that the 3DS RPG will be localized for a western audience.

Aside from the occasional– and frustratingly vague– teaser, Square Enix has been silent on its 3DS RPG Bravely Default, particularly on the game’s chances of coming to North America. But if a post by Siliconera is to be believed, it’s only a matter of time before the title makes its way overseas.

According to the website, which has spoken to “trusted sources” during last week’s Game Developers Conference, Bravely Default will indeed be localized in English. The outlet doesn’t give a time frame for the release, but it’s nevertheless encouraging to hear, especially when Square’s recent financial troubles would have likely made it more risk-averse with new IPs.

While this news should still be taken as a rumor at this point, Siliconera is a reputable website, so the chances of a localization are looking fairly good now. Have you been following the RPG, and do you plan to pick it up if it’s localized? (And what do you think its new title should be if it’s released here?) Let us know in the comments!
