After a slight delay, Nintendo has announced a new date for Splatoon’s first North American Splatfest.
Originally, the Splatfest was scheduled to take place last Saturday, June 20, but a matchmaking error prompted Nintendo to postpone the event indefinitely. Now that the error has been resolved, the Splatfest has been rescheduled for July 4. The theme for this particular Splatfest is cats versus dogs. Players who’d like to participate can choose a side at the Splatfest booth located in the Inkopolis plaza.
Until then, players will have a chance to test out some new gear, as two new weapons will be making their debut tonight: the Carbon Roller and the Custom Dual Squelcher. The former is a lightweight roller with great mobility, while the latter is a rapid fire ranged shooter. Both will be available to purchase tonight at 7 PM Pacific Time.
Will you be taking part in the Splatfest next week? Are you Team Cat or Team Dog? Let us know in the comments!
