While Mewtwo has already been announced as a free playable character in Super Smash Bros. for owners of both the Wii U and 3DS versions, it has now been revealed that owners of only one game will be able to purchase the 150th Pokémon separately as DLC.
The official Japanese Smash Bros. website explains how owners of both versions of the game will receive DLC codes for Mewtwo which can be redeemed at some point in spring 2015. If you don’t happen to have bought the game on both platforms, though, you will still be able to purchase the DLC at a later date.
No further information has been revealed about the exact release date or price of the Mewtwo DLC, but all will likely be revealed as we get closer to its release.
Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is available right now in North America and releases in Europe on November 28.
