Sonic Colors: Ultimate launches September 7, and although it’s a remaster of the beloved Wii game, it will undoubtedly be the first time that many fans will be playing it. As such, SEGA has put together a handy new trailer outlining the various Wisp allies that Sonic has throughout the adventure. This includes the new Jade Wisp, which will be a fresh face for everyone playing Ultimate. Take a look:
For the uninitiated, the Wisps act like powerups for Sonic. Each different Wisp bestows Sonic with a unique ability that allows him to interact with his environment. They’re similar to Mario’s powerups in terms of usage and are one of the rare Sonic gimmicks that doesn’t feel overly forced or out of place. Yet another reason to look forward to Ultimate’s launch.
