ICYMI: The Switch 2 Version of LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight Releases This Fall

We recently get some exciting news after feeling left in the dark when LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight was released on every other platform but Switch 2 last month. Warner Bros. Games revealed a new trailer with a release date of September 18, 2026, and pre-orders are now open for purchase. Kind of a bummer players have to wait a few more months, but at least it’s finally coming our way.

WB Games is hoping to sweeten the deal for Switch 2 players by also offering The Mayhem Collection DLC, which is also going be released alongside the game’s launch. A few perks will include a new game mode with playable characters, Joker and Harley Quinn. There will also be a new story mission, Mayhem Mode, and much more.

There are two available versions for purchase for Switch 2: The Standard Edition for $70 and The Deluxe Edition for $90. The Deluxe Edition will bundle together the Legacy Collection extra, three-day early access, and the Dark Knight Returns Batsuit. Have no fear! The Batsuit will also be included with the Standard Edition pre-orders.

From what we know so far, Legacy of the Dark Knight will be a new open-world LEGO game set in Gotham City. The September releases this year are pretty stacked, but there is still enough excitement to purchase and play alongside our favorite Arkham heroes and villains.
