Bubsy is back, baby! Again! He’s, err, more back? Anyway, Atari and developer Fabraz (Demon Turf, Slim-san) are bringing fans the latest adventure starring this beguiling feline in the form of Bubsy 4D. It was shown off at Gamescom and you can see it for yourself in this dandy trailer:

Here’s what Atari says about Bubsy 4D:
Join Bubsy on an intergalactic, platforming adventure! The infamous, wise-cracking bobcat has returned to 3D with new challenges, new moves, and even more purrsonality. Run, jump, glide, and roll across alien planets, battle robotic sheep, and collect tons and tons of yarn. What could possibly go wrong?
Bubsy’s longstanding enemies, the fleece-obsessed Woolies, have stolen all of the Earth’s sheep. Oh well, that ain’t Bubsy’s problem. Until the sheep return as deadly BaaBots, empowered by Woolie technology, to steal The Golden Fleece. Bubsy must journey through space to stop the BaaBots and reclaim the Fleece with the help of his motley crew of acquaintances.
For this adventure, Bubsy has obtained new abilities to help guide him through these craft-themed levels. Bubsy can leap, glide, flip, claw up walls, and pounce off enemies, as one might expect, but he can also roll up into his new hairball form for extra mayhem and hilarity. Sadly, we don’t know exactly when Bubsy 4D will drop beyond “soon,” but once we do, we’ll share with all of you.
