Over the past few days it was leaked that Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time would be coming to home consoles. First, a couple of weeks ago there was some merchandise that sprang up on an online retailer’s website which fueled speculation that an announcement of a new Crash Bandicoot game was imminent. Roughly a week later, news of Crash Bandicoot 4 appeared to leak via an official Taiwanese rating of the game. Following that, screenshots began making the rounds and Activision quickly declared that a livestream (which will be handled by Toys For Bob, the game’s developer) would be taking place today at 8 AM PST to detail the latest sequel in the long-running series.

The announcement cheekily declares that the “official reveal > leaks, promise,” or to simplify, the official reveal is greater than leaks. There’s no word yet that Crash Bandicoot 4 will come to Switch; the listings are all for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, thus far. However, previous Activision games in the Crash Bandicoot and Spyro series have all been kept under wraps until closer to their release, so it’s possible that if Crash Bandicoot 4 isn’t announced today for Switch, it could come at some point down the road. Regardless, we’ll fill you all in on what the game is about no matter what following the broadcast.
