Before last week’s Nintendo Direct presentation, many fans expected the official announcement of Pokémon Z, the oft-hinted at third version of Pokémon X and Y. Pokéfans did get a North American release date for Pokkén Tournament, as well as the announcement of Virtual Console versions of Pokémon Red, Blue and Yellow, but still no word on Z. That could, however, change in the next month!
Japan’s Coro Coro magazine is hinting at a big Pokémon announcement in their upcoming issue set to release this December. Coro Coro has been the source for a number of exclusive Pokémon announcements, including the debut of Zygarde’s new forms, which kicked off the Pokémon Z rumor mill to begin with. At this point, there’s no way of knowing whether this will actually be the official announcement, or if it’s something related to the anime.
