Finally, after months of wondering, fans can now see what awaits them in the Bowser’s Fury portion of the rerelease of Super Mario 3D World on Nintendo Switch. Prepare for two minutes of craziness in the trailer below!
As has been known for a while now, online multiplayer has been added to Super Mario 3D World, but there’s a lot more besides to look forward to. First off, Bowser’s Fury looks to be a whole new area for everyone’s favorite plumber to explore, and what’s more he appears to be joined by Bowser’s very own mischievous offspring Bowser, Jr. While that alone is shocking, what’s arguably equally so is the appearance of an enormous, ferocious version of the Koopa King. He has far more in common with Godzilla than his usual prickly-yet-approachable self—just look at the pillar of flame shooting out of his maw!
Amiibo functionality is reported to “offer in-game enhancements ” according to Nintendo’s press release, although what those enhancements are remains unknown. Bowser and Bowser, Jr.’s roles in Bowser’s Fury is being touted as much larger than the original version of 3D World and thus their amiibo will be getting a reissue. It’s going to be tough waiting for this gem from the Wii U era to make its way to Switch, but if this trailer is anything to go off of then it will all be worth it, in the end.
