Tell me if you’ve heard this one before: a retro-inspired indie platformer is coming to Switch! The eShop is filled with plenty of sidescrollers taking inspiration from 8 and 16-bit classics, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t room for more, especially if it has a good price and turns out to be good.
Bloo Kid 2 is being developed by winterworks and published by Headup and is an “old-school 2D platformer,” clearly in the vein of SNES titles. The game promises more than 60 secret filled levels of running, jumping, and other platforming shenanigans. Of course, players can also expect a chip-tune soundtrack as well.
Bloo Kid 2 will release on Switch on November 18 but it’s available for preorder now with a 20 percent discount, bringing the price down to $3.99.
